Our leather garments are made from genuine suede or grain leather. Being a natural product some variations may be apparent. These are physical markings, not flaws, and can only enhance the natural look of the garments. With suede, some shedding of suede dust may occur when new. This is not detrimental to the wearing qualities of the garment, and can be brushed away. You should try to avoid wearing either type of skin in wet weather, but should the garment become wet, dry it on a hanger away from direct heat.
In extreme cold (sub-zero) conditions, you may notice grey patches on the skin. This can happen when the natural oils and waxes in the skin travel to the surface. These can be easily removed by placing a piece of thick cloth over the affected portion and applying a hot iron.
Grain leather may be lightly sponged with soapy water (not detergent), and polished with a dry cloth to restore the lustre.
On grain leather occasional light application of a clear leather polish will maintain the appearance and be beneficial to the skin. Never use dry cleaning fluids or abrasives on stains. Do not let the garment become too soiled before cleaning.
CLEANING MUST BE ENTRUSTED TO A SUEDE AND LEATHER CLEANING SPECIALIST.
